Also, due to the neighborhood's recycling efforts, the MUD and Clawson Disposal were able to negotiate a contract change in October 2014 that increased the maximum number of extra items (like bags of leaves) from 2 items to 5 items each week at no additional charge.Clawson's residential subscription service includes a 95 gallon container and up to five (5) additional items outside of the container, not weighing more than 30 lbs. (i.e. 30 gallon bags). They ask that additional bags NOT exceed 35 pounds and personal containers with handles or bulky items NOT exceed 50 pounds.
If you are unable to bundle your brush but you can place it in an additional trash can or lawn bag, Clawson will still take it.
They are able to continue picking up bundles of brush if the brush is cut in approximately 3 to 4 foot lengths and not to exceed 40 pounds. Bundles must be tied with string or rope capable of holding bundle together when lifted.
If you have large items to dispose of (like a water heater), or if you have way over 5 bags of leaves to dispose of, an option you have is to contact:
Al Clawson Disposal, Inc.:
or view them on the web,
and arrange to have these items picked up at an additional charge.
